founded in 1935, groups together four professional sectors:

	The Professional Association of Machine-Made Embroidery (Caudry and Vermandois-Cambrésis Embroidery)
	The National Group of Handmade Lace, Embroidery and Trimmings (passementeries) "Groupmain"
	The Professional Association of "Leavers" Lacemaking (Calais and Caudry Lacemaking)
	The Professional Association of Machine-Made Bobbin Lace (Le Puy en Velay and surrounding region)

The Federation, through its associations, represents around 100 firms, more than 4,000 employees and an annual turnover of 1.6 billion FF ($ 270 millions), 65 % of which is in export.

The Federation's principal goal is that of coordinating the activities in the areas of lacemaking and embroidery. It represents, defends and serves the interests of its members, by promoting their profession and prosperity, both in France and abroad.
